Eric Borninkhof is the Owner of Rimskys-Horns.
In 1966 born and his first horn-experiences with the Koninklijke Almelose Harmonie ( wind band).
He studied at the Conservatory of Enschede, at the Royal Conservatory of the Hague and with Proff. Erich Penzel at Maastricht Conservatory.
After this he played one year military service at the Band of the Royal Netherlands Airforce .
Next his Bachelors also with Erich Penzel.
Masters hornstudy he did with Proff. Günther Högner in Vienna, Austria (former Solo-horn Vienna PhilharmonicOrchestra).
Masterclasses followed by: Hermann Baumann, Peter Damm en William (Bill) Vermeulen (Solo- Horn Houston Symfony Orchestra).
He played during his study in:
-the National Youth Wind Band of Holland,
-the National Youth Symfony Orchestra ,
-the Schlesswig Holstein Musik Festival Orchestra under Leonard Bernstein , Sir Georg Solti and Christopher Eschenbach,
-the Deutsch- Russische Junge Philharmonie under Valerie Gergejev.
-the Pacific Musik Festival Orchestra in Sapporo (Japan) under Michael Tilson Thomas, Neëme Yarvi and Yutaka Sado.
He did a lot of Freelance work with the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Radio orchestra,s of the Dutch Broadcasting Company, Philharmonia Ungarica -Marl(D), RundfunkSymfonie Orchester Berlin, Bochum Symphoniker etc..
He became in 1992 1st Horn player of the Marine Band of the Royal Netherlands Navy at Rotterdam.
In 2001 he became 3rd Hornplayer of the Netherlands Radio Symfonie Orchestra in Hilversum under Eri Klas and Hans Vonk. From 2005 until 2012 3th hornplayer of the Radio Kamerfilharmonie in Hilversum.
